For the tensile test, a specimen is first prepared from the material to be tested, according to the relevant standards. This specimen is placed between the jaws of the tensile testing machine in a centered and aligned manner, and then it is stretched with gradually increasing load until it breaks. During this process, the applied force (F) and the material's elongation (ΔL) are measured by the device. Using the obtained force (F) and elongation (ΔL) values, a (F – ΔL) diagram, also known as the stress-strain diagram, is created.
This test allows for easy determination of the Yield point, Elongation percentage, and Break value for moderately soft materials.
Our laboratory specifically conducts tests to determine tensile, yield, break, and elongation values on plastic and composite products.
In addition, our laboratory successfully performs the required tests to determine the bonding strength of adhesive products (tape, mastic, adhesive chemicals, etc.), such as Peel tests and Shear tests.
Peel Test Standard: ASTM D903
Shear Test Standard: ASTM D3518
