Founded in 2007, METALTEK has successfully developed 7 different maintenance chemicals, which are mandatory for use in Defense Industry Maintenance factories (such as Aircraft, Helicopters, Tanks, Weapons, Ammunition, etc.) in compliance with ASTM, SAE, and MIL standards. With the support of TÜBİTAK and KOSGEB Technology institutions, METALTEK became the first company in Turkey to produce these chemicals and has since become a supplier to Defense Industry Maintenance factories. In addition to domestic sales, METALTEK has also succeeded in exporting to Defense Industry companies in the United States and Azerbaijan.
In 2010, METALTEK established a Test Laboratory for product development tests, and in 2012, it was accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Authority (TÜRKAK) under the EN ISO 17025 standard. With more than 80 tests performed according to international standards, including Aging, Corrosion, Environmental, and Mechanical endurance tests, METALTEK began providing testing services to hundreds of manufacturers in 14 countries both domestically and internationally. In 2014, METALTEK became an approved laboratory of QUALICOAT, a Swiss-based quality organization, and joined the ranks of just 8 laboratories worldwide holding this certification.
Additionally, METALTEK has begun performing approval tests for many chemicals used in the Aerospace sector (such as paints, sealants, adhesives, etc.). In the future, METALTEK is in ongoing discussions to become a test laboratory approved by major international aerospace organizations like Airbus and Boeing.
In 2020, METALTEK launched METALTEK ACADEMY with the aim of providing training services for the personal development of technical personnel engaged in production, both domestically and internationally. Since then, the academy has been offering regular training sessions on 9 different topics every year, continuing without interruption in both the ACADEMY and CORPORATE environments. METALTEK’s founder, Tuncay KATIRCI, with over 30 years of industry experience, also provides consultancy services to companies seeking to improve their quality. After conducting inspections and evaluations at production facilities, he prepares Audit reports to assist institutions in enhancing their processes.
In 2022, METALTEK began producing Corrosion Test equipment, gaining the capability to supply various testing devices to many manufacturers both within Turkey and abroad. The company has continued to strengthen its position in test equipment production, expanding its team and infrastructure with each passing day. METALTEK has had the pleasure of exporting to countries such as Russia and Spain. With the trust it has gained from its customers, METALTEK proudly brands its test devices and continues to develop in this field by providing fast service and easy access to spare parts. In 2024, METALTEK achieved the EN ISO 17043 certification and became the first company in Turkey to organize interlaboratory comparison tests. METALTEK is committed to expanding its testing capabilities and aims to take its work to an international level by regularly organizing comparison tests both domestically and abroad.
