Test samples are continuously sprayed with 5% concentration saltwater onto the test specimen inside a chamber at 35 ± 2°C for the specified test duration. At the end of the test, organic coated parts are evaluated and interpreted according to the following standards: TS EN ISO 4628-2 / ASTM D714 (Blistering Degree), TS EN ISO 4628-3 / ASTM D610 (Rusting Degree), TS EN ISO 4628-4 / ASTM D661 (Cracking Degree), TS EN ISO 4628-5 / ASTM D772 (Peeling Degree), TS EN ISO 4828-8 / ASTM D1654 (Separation and Corrosion Degree Around a Scratch), and TS EN ISO 4628-10 (Filiform Corrosion), in accordance with ISO or ASTM standards.
For inorganic coated samples (such as galvanizing, alodine coatings, etc.), evaluation is performed according to the TS EN ISO 10289 standard. Since there is no ASTM standard for inorganic coated samples, the test results are shared as percentages.
