By simulating the effects of rain and dew that might be encountered in outdoor atmospheric conditions, the success of the coating and surface treatment is revealed. This method can be applied to coatings on both porous substrate materials such as wood, plaster, and gypsum board, as well as non-porous substrates like metals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Test methods involve heating water to a specific temperature to generate water vapor within the test chamber. Test panels or finished products are surrounded by air enriched with moisture, allowing the coating to absorb the water and potentially cause damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Water penetrates the coating depending on its characteristics. Any effects such as color change, blistering, loss of adhesion, softening, or brittleness are observed and reported.
